This time, we're going into the world of business, more specifically finance. Although it may seem like the boring stereotypical office job, there are important to the world, helping others plan their retirement plan and help them make the most out of their money.

Financial advisors are the ones who provide their clients with financial products and services. Depending on their licenses and the training they have, they sell different products. A insurance would be a financial advisor and he may be able to sell life insurance and such. A financial advisor can also create plans for the clients. A few other jobs who may use the term financial advisor are brokers, investment advisers, accountants, lawyers, insurance agents, and financial planners.


To be a financial advisor, one needs a keen understanding of banking, insurance, and stock market practices. To be successful, a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field (business, accounting, finance) and some may be need to get a license. Certificate are voluntary, but can enhance job prospects. Master’s degree can also lead to career advancement. Those who deal with securities, stocks, or insurance need to get a license. 

Coursework in financial advising program teaches investing tactics, retirement planning and insurance. Math courses as well as economics and interpersonal relations are taken. To gain valuable real-life experience, some programs offer internships at banks and other financial firms.
